Lindsay F. (Almonte, ON)

Lindsay was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension (PVOD) in October 2018 after two years of medical testing and several specialist consultations. Despite treatment with dual oral therapies and supplemental oxygen, her condition continued to progress, leaving a double lung transplant as her only remaining option. Lindsay travelled to Toronto General Hospital for a transplant evaluation, was put on the wait-list, and was hospitalized in May 2020. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she received her first double lung transplant in June 2020.

Following her transplant, Lindsay experienced chronic rejection and ultimately underwent a second double lung transplant in November 2025. Through her own journey with PH, transplant, and life after transplant, she has gained a unique perspective on the challenges and triumphs patients and their families face. Lindsay is passionate about sharing her experience and offering support, guidance, and encouragement to those navigating the many ups and downs of the transplant journey.
