Dr. Susanna Mak
Dr. Susanna Mak is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine’s Division of Cardiology at the University of Toronto. She is the Director of the Anna Prosserman Heart Function Clinic and the Director of the Harold & Esther Mecklinger and the Posluns Family Cardiac Catheterization Research Laboratory at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a clinical cardiologist, she is a heart failure specialist at the Anna Prosserman Heart Function Clinic, which is the longest serving Heart Failure Clinic in Toronto.
Dr. Mak received her PhD from the Institute of Medical Sciences at the University of Toronto and is an expert in the assessment of hemodynamics and heart chamber function in humans. Dr. Mak’s research interests include the contrasts between the cardiovascular physiology of men and women, the pathophysiology of pulmonary arterial hypertension and heart failure, and the quality of care for patients with acute and chronic heart failure.
