Jas James
For over two decades, Jas James has been a beacon of strength and compassion within the pulmonary hypertension (PH) community. Diagnosed with PAH 23 years ago, Jas balanced her career as a licensed practical nurse and raising two young children, while refusing to let her condition define her. Instead, she turned her journey into a source of hope and support for others living with PH.
Jas’s involvement spans from her early days with the BC PH Association to her ongoing volunteer work with PHA Canada, where she joined the Ambassador program in 2019. Whether organizing support luncheons on Vancouver Island, participating in national Zoom meetups, or attending PH conferences across North America, Jas’s commitment to supporting others is unwavering.
Her dedication extends beyond volunteering. Jas has been a loyal donor to PHA Canada since 2008, contributing to research, advocacy, and awareness efforts. Her tireless work—whether advocating for drug coverage, writing for Connections, or supporting fellow patients—has left a lasting impact on the PH community.
Jas’s legacy of compassion, advocacy, and ongoing support continues to inspire and uplift the PH community across Canada.
