Dr. John Granton
After graduating from the University of Western Ontario in pharmacology/toxicology, Dr. Granton completed medical school at McMaster University. He pursued training in internal medicine, respiratory medicine, and critical care at the University of Toronto and completed research training at the University of British Columbia. He has been on staff at the University Health Network since 1995 and has served as a consultant in critical care, pulmonary medicine, and lung transplantation. He established the pulmonary hypertension program at UHN in 1997. He is currently an intensivist and head of the pulmonary hypertension program at the Toronto General Hospital and Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. His research interests are in pulmonary hypertension and critical illness.
