Crystal Rutherford

Crystal was diagnosed with a rare form of pulmonary hypertension called Pulmonary capillary hemangiomatosis confirmed with genetic testing in early June 2023.  Crystal’s health declined very rapidly and the only option was a transplant.

On November 18th 2023 Crystal received a double lung transplant at Toronto General Hospital.  Crystal is so grateful to her donor and their family for giving her the chance to breathe again.

Crystal currently lives in Burlington, Ontario. She enjoys spending time with her family, daughter Sophie and cat Marshmallow! Crystal loves being in nature, going camping and travelling.  Crystal is living each day to the fullest!
