I have been working as a Respiratory Therapist for the last 14 years. I started my career in acute care, but quickly realized that shift work was not for me. I have worked in oxygen therapy for 13 years and recently started a new job as the Area Operations Manager for Maple Respiratory. Kathy was one of my patients and we developed a friendship along with a professional relationship. I have a close relationship with pulmonary disease. My dad had ILD and I understand the personal and family struggles that go along with the challenges people on oxygen can face. I studied biology and chemistry at UBC. I was looking for a career after I had my kids and knew I would have to go back to school. I had always wanted to work in health care. RT work seemed interesting and there were so many avenues available to me as an RT. I studied Respiratory Therapy at SAIT. I love to read and cook . I am also a huge animal lover and extremely passionate about travelling.
