Using antithrombotics in children with PH
A study used US registry data and a survey to explore the usage of antithrombotic therapy in children with pulmonary hypertension (PH). Antithrombotic therapy is used infrequently in pediatric PH and is primarily reserved for high-risk patients, with significant variation across centers. Survey data generally agreed that antithrombotic therapy was not indicated for patients at the lowest risk and was probably indicated for patients at the highest risk, but management of intermediate-risk patients varied considerably.
