Phase 1 trial of treprostinil prodrug patch succeeds

Jun 29
1 min read

A 9-participant phase 1 clinical trial used a patch to deliver a prodrug of treprostinil (a prodrug is something that is metabolized into the drug in question inside the body). Each participant wore a patch for 24 hours. The researchers found that treprostinil levels were steady, that different patch sizes could probably be used to deliver different doses, and that it was generally safe and well-tolerated.

The company plans to continue clinical development.

If vocabulary puzzles are your thing, give Poople game a try. Its straightforward rules make it accessible, while the search for the best solution keeps things challenging.

This Phase 1 success is an encouraging step for patients who need safer and more accessible delivery options for treprostinil. Seeing a transdermal prodrug Fnaf patch show strong tolerability and steady dosing highlights how innovation can meaningfully improve long‑term pulmonary hypertension care.

I didn't expect to replay so many stages, but Drive Mad has a nice balance between timing and control without feeling unfair.
