Robyn Kalda

MANAGER, RESEARCH & POLICY

Robyn (she/her) joined PHA Canada in 2024 as Manager, Research and Policy. She has worked in health promotion since the late 1990s, with a focus on exploring ways to develop, store, retrieve, use and share information to maximize its usefulness and impact and particular interests in plain language and the healthy, ethical use of technology.

She has worked with a number of equity-oriented groups: Citizens for Local Democracy and the Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children at the local level; Health Nexus, the Ontario Women's Justice Network, the Public Health Training for Equitable Systems Change project, and the Ontario Network of Employment Skills Training Projects at the provincial level; and the National Safer Supply Community of Practice at the national level.

Robyn holds a B.Sc. in Zoology and Human Biology and a Master in Environmental Studies. She lives in Toronto with her husband and black two cats, has one daughter, and spends her spare time reading, cycling, and making very non-traditional quilts.

At PHA Canada, Robyn hopes to broaden PHA Canada’s impact and support the PH community by catalyzing information flows and collaboration among patients, researchers, healthcare providers, policymakers, and beyond.
