Sotatercept safe and effective across cardiac index groups

Cardiac index (CI) assesses the output of someone's heart based on their size. It measures heart function relative to the person's size (litres per minute per square metre), instead of just cardiac output (litres per minute). A study looked at data from both the PULSAR and STELLAR trials for sotatercept and found that, compared to placebo, sotatercept improved 6-minute walk distance consistently and was equally safe for people in all cardiac index groups.
