Needs of people with respiratory illness and their caregivers
Researchers at the Medical University of South Carolina in collaboration with the Lancet Commission on Palliative Care in Serious Respiratory Illness are conducting a survey to provide insight into the needs of people with serious respiratory illnesses and their caregivers.
The information will help healthcare professionals and researchers better understand the care and support most important to patients and families. Your perspective can help improve communication, comfort and support for others affected by serious respiratory illnesses.
To participate, you must be at least 18 and have a serious respiratory illness or care for someone who does. In this study, “serious respiratory illness” refers to chronic or progressive lung diseases, such as pulmonary hypertension, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease or lung cancer. Participants won’t receive compensation.
The survey takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete and is best completed in one sitting.
