World PH Day
Make the Call

On World PH Day, we’re asking you to take a few minutes to call your provincial Minister of Health’s office and ask one simple question:
Why don’t patients in our province have access to sotatercept—and when will that change?
You don’t need to be an expert. You don’t need to say everything perfectly. What matters is that you call.

❤️ Share why this matters to you, if you feel comfortable
Even a short message makes an impact. Offices track calls—and a surge in calls sends a clear message that this cannot wait.
Nervous about calling?
You can call at any time during the day—choose what feels most comfortable for you:
📨 Prefer to leave a voicemail?
Call before 9:00am or after 5:00pm when offices are typically closed.
This is a great option if you’re feeling nervous or want time to say exactly what you want.
🗣️ Comfortable speaking to someone?
Call during regular business hours (9:00am–5:00pm).
You may speak with a staff member who will take down your message and pass it along.
There’s no “right” way to do this—both options are equally valuable.
Take It One Step Further
If you’re able, help amplify the impact:
-
📸 Take a selfie while making your call
-
📲 Share it on social media
-
🔖 Use our campaign hashtag: #timemattersPAH
This helps show decision-makers that people across the province—and across the country—are speaking up.
We Need to Flood the Lines. This only works if we act together.
Let’s inundate these offices with calls—so they can no longer ignore us.
Each call matters. Together your calls create pressure.

Hello, my name is [insert your name]. I live in [insert your city], and I’m calling to speak with someone in the Minister’s office about an urgent issue affecting my health.
-
I live with a serious and life-shortening disease called pulmonary arterial hypertension. It causes the arteries in my lungs to become narrowed and thickened, which can lead to heart failure.
-
I’m calling because patients in my province still do not have access to a new, life-saving medication called sotatercept, while patients in most other provinces across Canada already do. I’m trying to understand—why not here, and when will that change?
-
This medication has been approved by Health Canada, recommended for funding by the Canadian Drug Agency in November 2024, and a national pricing agreement was reached in November 2025 through the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance.
-
With all of that in place, patients like me are still waiting—and our time matters.
-
Can you please tell me when a decision will be made about adding sotatercept to our provincial drug formulary? I would also appreciate any updates as this moves forward.
IF THIS IS A VOICEMAIL - Please call me back at [insert phone number] with any updates. Thank you
