Getting ready for a new school year can bring both excitement and challenges for families affected by pulmonary hypertension (PH). This virtual round table is designed to support students of all ages, whether starting elementary school, navigating high school, or heading off to post-secondary education.

Led by PH pediatric nurse Janette Reyes, we’ll explore:

✔ Practical tips for preparing for the year ahead

✔ Strategies and ideas for school accommodations

✔ How to work with schools to help students thrive academically and socially

The session will begin with an overview of strategies at different education levels, followed by an open discussion where parents, teen patients, and post-secondary students can share experiences and ask questions.

✨ We’ll also highlight PHA Canada’s updated resource on school accommodation ideas—a tool designed to help families and schools work together for student success.
