Marion Roth
Marion was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (IPAH) in January 2011. She had been fairly active within her community, but found herself reducing her volunteer commitments due to lack of energy, fatigue and shortness of breath prior to diagnosis. She was sent to see an internist who in-turn referred her to the London PH Clinic. By March 2011 she started on her first (of many) PH medications, Tracleer. Currently, Marion is on triple therapy; IV Remodulin, Macitentan (Opsumit) and Tadalafil (Adcirca).
Marion is one of the founding members of the London PH support group, which started in 2012. As a strong promoter of PH awareness, she remains in pursuit of what she loves, which is dog obedience training and travelling with her family building memories. Marion’s ability to pass on this knowledge to others so they too may continue to do things they love, is what makes educating such a strong passion for her. Prior to her diagnosis, Marion was a large volume cook and Air Cadet Officer. She resides in Milverton, Ontario with her husband, Bob. She has three adult children, Whitney, Courtney and son-in-law Eric, a fur-baby Golden Retriever Ryleigh and grand fur-baby, Nyomi the boxer.
