Joanne Schwartz

Joanne Schwartz has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of British Columbia and a degree in Conflict Resolution from the University of Winnipeg. She has twenty years of experience in a variety of roles working with and providing support to people with complex needs. Joanne is a counsellor in private practice trained in Clinical Supervision, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mediation and Motivational Interviewing. She runs groups and provides individual counselling to people with depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions and chronic illnesses like Pulmonary Hypertension. She has been working with the Vancouver PH clinic since 2018. Joanne also works part-time at St. Paul’s hospital in Vancouver providing clinical supervision and mentorship to Acute Care social workers. She has worked at that same hospital for 16 years in a variety of clinical roles.
