PH Research

PHA Canada believes that the world of PH is about to change for the better.

Today, Canadian PH patients have 10 treatments available to them, and this number will increase as clinical trials continue. There is currently more study and research into the field of PH than ever before. The past few years have seen exponential growth in awareness and advocacy efforts. This has resulted in a previously unparalleled quality of life for those affected by the disease.

PHA Canada PH Research Scholarships

Since the summer of 2014, PHA Canada has been gathering funds for PH research. The majority of this funding has come directly from community fundraisers and events held across Canada. This incredible involvement of the PH community to support PH research shows how important this issue is to our community.

How we contribute to critical PH research
Scholarships of up to $10,000 are offered by the Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada in order to promote and support pulmonary hypertension (PH) research in Canada.
We currently provide a financial stipend to outstanding trainees in support of their research into pulmonary hypertension through two scholarships: the Paroian Family PH Research Scholarship and the Mohammed Family PH Research Scholarship.

Paroian Family PH Research Scholarship

The Paroian Family PH Research Scholarship is named to honour the incredible contribution of the Paroian Family to the PH community in Canada.

Mohammed Family PH Research Scholarship

The Mohammed Family PH Research Scholarship is named to honour the incredible support of the Mohammed Family, who have organized yearly Run/Walk for PH Research fundraisers in Ajax, Ontario since 2014.

Scholarship competitions are now CLOSED. Please visit this page again to stay informed on upcoming application deadlines, or contact us at info@phacanada.ca.
