Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) is a disease affecting the arteries of the lungs, it can strike anyone regardless of age, sex, social or ethnic background. People affected with this disease suffer from continuous high blood pressure in the lungs which results in an enlargement of the heart. Click here to learn more about pulmonary hypertension.

The Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada (PHA Canada) was formed to help patients of pulmonary hypertension as well as their family, caregivers and friends to fight back against this disease. We are devoted to helping to improve the lives of those throughout Canada who have been affected by PH, through raising awareness, advocacy work and education. You can learn more about PHA Canada and its activities here.

When You Set Your Mind To It, Nothing Is Impossible

PH Patient to bike in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, June 12-13 2010

April 28, 2010

Barry Sulli
van was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension in 2005. He was, all things considered, fairly lucky; his PH was diagnosed at a quite early stage and although living with PH is a challenge, he has decided that nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it. Wanting to give back to the medical community and to honour his mother, mother in law and other friends he lost to the disease, Barry has decided to participate in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, a 200km bike ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls, which will take place June 12-13.
